Phillip M. Hutcheson is the Vice President and Honorary District Chief of the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company. Phillip has served in every capacity for the company in his over 40 years of service. Phillip joined AVFC in early 1985 at the urging of his brother-in-law who was a member at the time. He holds many VDFP certifications, including Officer II.
Outside of AVFC, Phillip has been employed for 41 years in a family-owned business and has been its President and CEO for over 25 years. Phillip was born and raised in the Ashland area of Hanover County and is married to his high school sweetheart. They have two grown children and one grandchild. Phillip enjoys spending his free time at the beach and boating with his family. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
