The Metro Richmond Flying Squad is a local, all volunteer nonprofit organization that provides rehabilitation services to public safety agencies in the greater Richmond, VA area.
Firefighter Support: The flying squad provides hot and cold drinks, snacks, portable shelters, misting fans in summer and portable heaters in winter, dry socks, gloves and blankets during emergency incidents.
Cancer Prevention: Firefighters and first responders are exposed to many hazardous environments, including cancer causing substances. The squad provide portable wash stations and decontamination wipes to remove these harmful substances.
AVFC is proud to work with the Metro Richmond Flying Squad and offer support to their organization as they serve the firefighters and first responders who serve the community.
