The Ashland Volunteer Fire Company relies on its membership to help staff operational apparatus, be present at community events, and support the day-to-day operations of the fire company.

Active Members

Active Members of the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company must meet certain requirements set by both the company and Hanover Fire-EMS. Members can serve in an operational role responding to emergency calls in the community or in support of these emergency calls. The members pictured below are active members of AVFC.

Life Members

Life Members are members of the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company who have served in an active status for a predetermined amount of time. Life membership is an immense honor and shows the dedication of many individuals to countless years of service to the community. Current members must serve ten years in an active role to be considered for Life Membership. The company must vote to bestow this honor on eligible members.
