AVFC supports public events as staffing and emergency calls allow. Our members and the career firefighters assigned to the firehouse enjoy showing off apparatus and educating the public on the importance of fire prevention and safety. In addition to annual events such as National Night Out and Ashland Train Day, the company also can be present at schools, churches, community events, birthday parties, and other events by request.  To request the company be present at your event, please contact the company or the Hanover Fire-EMS Public Information Officer.

The Ashland Volunteer Fire Company annually hosts an “Open House” during Fire Prevention Month each year, typically in October. Historically, this event has been a time for members of the community to meet firefighters, tour the firehouse, and see demonstrations on equipment. The company continues this practice with a new twist, sometimes hosting the event at Ashland Town Hall or at other locations in town.

Please follow our social media to learn more about events we will be attending and for the date of our annual open house.
