"A" Shift Officer

Dallas Larsen

Lieutenant Dallas Larsen’s interest in the fire service began when his older brother became a firefighter for South Davis Metro Fire-EMS just outside of Salt Lake City and a Flight Paramedic for the University of Utah. 

He began his fire service career as a volunteer with the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company in June 2008.  He attended Fire Academy 24 and completed the program in 2009 followed immediately by certification as an EMT-B.  Larsen served as Historian and a Lieutenant with the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company until he was hired by Hanover County in June 2014.  

Larsen served as a Firefighter/EMT at Station’s 3,4, 9, and 6, and 10.  He completed my Paramedic in 2019, graduating as the class Honor Graduate.  Larsen served as the Acting Lieutenant/Paramedic on the newly created Station 17 A-shift until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2021.  Upon promotion, he was assigned to Station 4 until October 2024 when returned to Station 1 in Ashland

He is married to his amazing wife, Madison and has two boys Theo and Marshall.  He resides in Hanover County and enjoys coaching his son’s lacrosse team and spending time with his family in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.
